Activities at Our Church

Lee Food Pantry

St. George's maintains the local Food Pantry for those in need. The center has been moved to the Airoldi Building at 45 Railroad Street in Lee. It serves families of Lee, Montery, Otis, Stockbridge, West Stockbridge and Tyringham. Each Saturday, from 10AM to 12PM, food and personal hygene items are given out. We also provide special food baskets for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Teams of volunteers from four local churches rotate Saturdays for distribution. They are St Mary's Church of Lee, Good Shepherd of South Lee, St. Paul's Church in Stockbridge and The First Congregational Church of Lee. Women's Ministry

All women of the parish are considered members of the Women's Ministry and are invited to participate in the group's activities. The group conducts fund raising events, including a Christmas Bazaar in November. For the past eleven years, the Women's Ministry (formerly known as the ECW) has sponsored a highly successful Pie Fest in conjunction with the Lee Founder's Day weekend. The group furnishes supplies for Coffee Hour and has contributed to many worthy causes within and outside the church. Perhaps even more important is the fellowship shared by all who participate, including a Dutch Treat Dinner at an area restaurant in September, a Christmas Party and summer picnics. This years Dutch Treat Dinner was cooked by our Junior Warden (with a few helpers) and served in the Parish Hall. It was delightful, with appetizers and desserts being enjoyed by all. Easter Egg Hunt

After our Easter Service we held our annual Easter Egg Hunt. The younger parishioners had a great time looking for eggs.
